The image above gives the approximate locations of 500+ Bible Workers in India and Bangladesh. Each location marker represents one Bible Worker.
When we look at this image, we praise God for all the places He has allowed us to work in South Asia. We praise Him for all the people who have the opportunity to hear the Gospel because of these Bible Workers.
But this image also brings to our attention all the places we are not. Vast portions of India, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Nepal, Bhutan, and more have yet to be reached. And not just by Jesus for Asia but by any Christian denomination.
India has recently become the most populated country in the world, surpassing China, with more than 1.425 billion inhabitants (1).
An estimated 95% of people in India have heard little to nothing about Jesus. If India's most populous state, Uttar Pradesh, were a country, it would be the fifth-most populated country in the world with 271 million residents (2). Jesus for Asia has eight Bible Workers there.
Our ministry is not the only one working in South Asia. We praise God for the work that the Adventist church and other supporting ministries are doing there. But even with all these ministries combined, far more work must be done for these people to hear the Gospel.
This is an impossible task, but we serve a God for whom nothing is impossible. He has promised that if we ask, He will give us the nations as an inheritance (Psalm 2:8). He has promised that the Gospel of the Kingdom will be preached in all the world before the end will come (Matthew 24:14). And He has asked us to participate in this work by going, praying, and sending workers into the field (See Matthew 26:18-20, Matthew 9:38, Romans 10:14-15).
We invite you to join us in earnest prayer for these countries. Please pray that God will do the impossible to reach them with the Gospel. Pray for Him to send workers, dreams, visions, or whatever is needed. Pray for the unreached to be ready to hear the Gospel when someone comes to tell them.
