Maranatha: Join a Life-Changing Mission to Brazil
Overview
Plan to join Maranatha for a Fall project in Brazil’s beautiful Northeastern Coast. Loretta Spivey will lead volunteers in building a new place of worship for the Garapu community near Recife, the capital city of the State of Pernambuco. In addition to the included midweek excursion to tourist locations in the area, an optional two-day excursion to Rio de Janeiro will be offered.

ARRIVAL
Volunteers will arrive in Recife, Brazil (REC) between 12 p.m. and 10 p.m. on Thursday, October 2.Please wait for confirmation from Maranatha before purchasing your airfare to ensure there is still space on the project and to ensure you book the right flight.
DEPARTURE
Volunteers not joining the optional excursion will depart from Recife, Brazil (REC) on Sunday, October 12. Volunteers joining the optional excursion will depart from Recife, Brazil (REC) to Rio de Janeiro (GIG) on Sunday,
October 12, and from Rio de Janeiro (GIG) on Tuesday, October 14.

Travel Information
Volunteers will purchase their own plane tickets to and from Recife, Brazil. The posted arrival and departure dates are from the project. You may need to leave home a day or two before the advertised start date to arrive on the correct date. Maranatha representatives will meet volunteers upon arrival in Recife. Participants joining the optional excursion will book their flight to Rio de Janeiro (GIG) and can fly home from there.
Please wait for confirmation before purchasing your airfare. Booking outside the advertised flight windows could result in additional fees and missed portions of the project.
